Jim Lampley recently wrote in the Huffington Post about the shamelessness of the Bush Administration. Here is the comment I posted in response:

W. and Co. have been shameless from the get-go starting with their trashing of John McCain - an honest-to-God American hero if ever there was one - in the 2000 primaries.

Every time I think Dumbya couldn't do anything to make me hate him more, he has days like yesterday. He makes a 40 minute speech, spends ONE MINUTE and change on New Orleans and then tries to sell his illegal war by comparing it with WWII, "The Good War." ...And drawing parallels between himself and FDR? Please.Whether you support him or not, anyone with a lick of sense has gotta know that such comparisons won't fly.

Then, in a classic display of his arrogance and lack of compassion, HE GOES GOLFING!!! Anybody with even the slightest feel for the people would have gone to New Orleans to oversee the relief effort but once again Dumbya shows how clueless and out of touch he really is.

For some reason I keep thinking about Nero fiddling while Rome burned.

Oh and BTW, the Feds cut funding to reinforce the levees that broke, turning New Orleans into Atlantis. Oh well, Louisiana USED TO be a Red State!
