Scooter Crashes While Cheney Skates!

As usual, the Justice Dept. gets the capo...

...While the Godfather goes free! (Shown here approximating the size of his thingy)

I take no pleasure in the fact that I was right in my prediction that they would throw Libby under the bus to save Cheney. The Vice President was the one who drove this whole action and he is the one who really should be going to jail. With laudable but misguided loyalty, Libby fell on his sword to save the Big Kahuna.

L'Affaire du Plame was all about Cheney sending a "Godfather" type message that, "If you speak out against us, we'll crush you." It was a very clear signal that everyone in Government and the Media received loud and clear! This kind of bullying that allowed them to push through their fabricated war agenda without due dilligence. This was a tactic right out of the Nazi playbook (see my Goering quote below).

The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." - Hermann Goering

I was crushed that Karl Rove wasn't indicted, although reports say that he avoided doing so by the skin of his teeth. The past few weeks Rove has been distractied, desperately trying to find a way to avoid indictment and save his political skin. One can only imagine the desperate, underhanded tactics he might have used! Nevertheless, the Administration suffered a mere "fender bender" while the drivers skated. So it's still "business as usual." ...For now.

Meanwhile, without Rove orchestating his every move, the President has been exposed as the idiot we all know he is. Since "Stupid is as stupid does," he shot himself in the foot politically last week by nominating crony Harriet Meiers to the Supreme Court. You'd think he would have learned his lesson about cronyism after the whole disaster with "Heckuvajob Brownie!" I mean, anyone with a lick of sense knew the Meiers nomination wasn't going to fly. Hell, the Republicans were more angry than the Democrats! I loved it.

As usual, the Justice Dept. has collared another capo, while the Don goes free.
