Although I've been taking a little
break from performing I certainly have not been letting any grass
grow under my feet. I guess
the biggest news is that Tommy Vegas and I have finally released
our single "Fat
Teddy," OUT NOW on iTunes!
It's been done for a while but we hadn't gotten around to putting
it out. It's a fun Rockabilly song and we hope you like it!
Getting ready to put together
a new gigging band, this time with Mike Scalzo
(Pam Betti & Dirty Love) on drums, George Gashonia
(Big Daddy and the Bulldogs) on guitar and Lloyd
Lindberg (The New Trick Shot, New Wrecking Crew) on keys.
I'm looking forward to getting back in the saddle. I will be playing
a lot more standup bass with this band, which will be a lot of
fun. More on this soon.
Played a benefit for the Make a Wish
Foundation at Mulcahy's with my friend Dan Acosta and his Metal
band, Axis Unknown. I fill in on bass occasionally as he currently
has no regular bassist. We were on the bill with a lot of great
bands, including Finespun and a whole host of others. It was a
great day.
It's always a joy to play with Brenda
and Judy, who are my adopted "sistas" as I only have
brothers in my family. We played Sunrise Assisted Living singing
Christmas carols, and it is always one of my favorite gigs of
the year. This year it was extra special because at least 40 other
people came with us from St. Luke's, including young people home
from college. We had a blast and a great time was had by all!
