Written during my city days when I used to work on the Javits Center. I would have to walk by the New Yorker Hotel, which at that time was Unification Church headquarters. I would see all the Moonies out on the street selling flowers. This is just a collection of my thoughts about cults in general.

You need to put your faith in something, help suppress your fears,
Words are spoken, wills are broken, souls are stolen here,
Someone tells you where to turn and you're not asking why,
Easy answers never questioned, you don't even try.

Refrain

You know a man, who know the plan,
You hear him rant over and over again. (repeat)

You left the life you'd led before, shut friends and family out,
To buy this brand of happiness you're better off without,
You obey and prove your faith, selling roses on the street,
Church has turned your love of God to a life of slavery.

Refrain

To struggle in this cold cruel world, is just to hard to try,
They controlled you, bought and sold you, you never asked why,
It's a world of endless choice, you won't ever make,
In a world that needs your voice, you won't get your say.

Refrain
